Undergraduate Research at Oxford

The Oxford College Undergraduate Research Program support undergraduate research and scholarship opportunities. These opportunities happen in classrooms, laboratories, libraries, studios, and on stages across our institution.

Oxford provides numerous opportunities for students to conduct professional research in their first and second year of college in all disciplines (Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Engineering).

The numerous and varied undergraduate research experiences we offer our students are a direct result of their access to dedicated world-class faculty mentors from our exceptional undergraduate liberal arts college.

Undergraduate Research Programs (URP) support faculty and students involved in undergraduate research by providing resources for research projects and conference attendance via URP grant support. We also help faculty develop new undergraduate research opportunities.

We offer a formal academic year program (ORS) to help students interested in undergraduate research find mentors. Our Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program, our Summer Oxford Research Scholars (SORS) program and GRSP (Oxford College-Halle Institute Global Research Scholars Program) offers students extended full-time summer research opportunities.
