Other options for traveling to the airport for breaks
By subway/train or bus (MARTA)
- It will cost $2.50 each way. You can purchase a ticket from machines located outside any station entrance. Trains run roughly every 10 minutes, but be sure to check the schedule and download the Marta on the Go app for live updates.
- Southbound Red and Gold MARTA trains drop off directly at the airport. The Airport Station is located in the Domestic Terminal. However, there's a free shuttle to/from the international terminal.
- From Oxford College, you would take the Oxford-Atlanta shuttle to the Kensington Marta station. Take the Westbound train to Five Points Station and then simply transfer to any Red or Gold southbound train. There is no additional fee to transfer. You'll simply exit the first train and wait where you are for the first available Red or Gold Southbound train to arrive. The airport is the last stop for the red and gold southbound trains.
- Plan your trip at itsmarta.com or call 404-848-5000 for help.

By rideshare:
- The two most popular rideshare apps in Atlanta are Uber and Lyft. For more information on using rideshares at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International airport, visit the "Rideshare/Transportation Network Companies" section on their Ground Transportation webpage. Safety tip: Do not enter a car unless the car, license plate and driver match the details given in the app. Have the driver say your name rather than saying their name to confirm the pick-up.
By private shuttle or limousine:
- Private shuttle services can be reserved through companies like atlcarservice.com or thriveblackcar.com and are an option for transportation to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. You will need to find a company and make a reservation for pick up at Oxford College. You will need to provide your Residence Hall's physical address (not 801 Emory St) or simply have them pick you up at the Transportation Hub. That address is 752-778 Haygood Ave, Oxford, GA 30054.
- There are also over 200 limousine companies that service Metro Atlanta. A list of these can be found in the airport's resources.
- Emory is not affiliated with any of these providers.
