Counseling in the 2021-22 Academic Year

Mental Health Services Remain Available This Year

Counseling Services will be available for students struggling with Emotional, Mental, or Relational/Social Concerns that compromise their well-being.  For all students, services will be delivered via on-line platforms, consistent with professional standards for the delivery of tele-health services. (Click here to learn more about why we made this decision).

There different ways you can consider for your mental health needs this year:

Meeting with a counselor at Counseling and Career Services
To schedule an appointment with one of our counselors, simply call 770-784-8394 when you arrive to campus or stop by our office in the Murdy Breezeway.  We offer individual counseling, group counseling, workshops on common student experiences, and training sessions for student groups who wish to get involved in helping make this a more supportive campus community.

HOURS:  Monday - Friday
9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (when classes are in session)
Closed noon to 1:00 p.m. for lunch.

TimelyCare:  In addition to our office, you have access to TimelyCare tele-mental-health services, at no additional cost when you enroll using your Emory email, which includes

  • Scheduled Counseling for more ongoing counseling sessions
  • TalkNow (available 24/7) for students just needing some support more immediately and want someone to talk through a difficult moment.
  • Psychiatry Services for students who are currently taking medication for mental health concerns or who would like to explore this as among your options to address your needs.
Emory ThrivingCampus helps you identify off-campus providers in the ATL area in the private practice sector, many of which accept the Emory Student Health Insurance and provide telehealth services you can access from the Oxford campus or wherever you are in Georgia!
