Oxford Votes
Voting is a bedrock of the American democracy. At Emory, we encourage each eligible voter to exercise that right.
Getting Started
The first step in exercising your right to vote is understanding your voter registration status. All members of the Emory community have access to Turbovote, a platform dedicated to voter registration and absentee ballot requesting. Watch the video below and visit emory.turbovote.org to get started.
Need more assistance? TurboVote offers a robust resource to answer frequently asked questions. Visit their website at howto.vote for more information.
Why Vote?
We asked members of the Emory community "Why is voting important to you?" Their answers ranged from civic duty to stories about going to the polls as kids. No matter the reason, we believe each eligible voter in the community should exercise their right to vote. Watch the video below to hear more reasons why you should vote.

Drop-Off Locations
Our goal is to make voting easier for you. That's why we've collaborated with Mail Services to offer a variety of drop-off locations around campus for your voting material. Students, staff, and faculty can drop off their voting material in the Oxford Student Center, Seney Hall (near the financial services window), or at the Mail Center. Stamps will be provided, free of charge, in the Student Center and Seney Hall.

Become an #OxfordVotes Ambassador
The Civic Engagement and Democratic Participation program is seeking first and second-year students to serve as Oxford Votes Ambassadors. They will be expected to attend training and Oxford Votes meetings, host virtual couch parties, be assigned a state (or region) and be familiar with voting laws, and be familiar with TurboVote - the online platform for voter registration. Most importantly, Oxford Votes Ambassadors are expected to execute their duties in a non-partisan fashion. If interested, please complete the online application found here.
About the CEDP
Launched in 2020, Oxford's Civic Engagement and Democratic Participation program is a non-partisan effort, supported by the Provost's office, to increase civic engagement and voter participation. While CEDP focuses specifically on faculty, through educational support, the program offers resources for all members of the Oxford community to register to vote, check on their registration, and receive absentee ballot request forms. The program is comprised of faculty, staff, and students from around campus.
