Summer School

Summer School at Emory is the perfect opportunity to get ahead and prepare for the next step in your academic career. Summer School will be offered on the Atlanta Campus during the following terms:

• Maymester: May 13, 2025 – May 30, 2025
• First session: May 16, 2025 – June 25, 2025
• Second session: June 30, 2025 – August 6, 2025

*Please note that you may NOT enroll in both Maymester and First Session classes. 

Pre-registration

The Oxford College Registrar’s Office will enroll Oxford students for the Summer 2024 session after approval has been granted from the Advising Support Center during the below dates:

• Maymester: February 11th to May 13th
• First and Second Sessions: February 11th to May 16th (2nd session until June 30)

Advisement Required

Students who plan to enroll in Emory summer school must contact the Advising Support Center (OxAdvising@emory.edu) to plan a summer school schedule before they can pre-register. If you plan to graduate, please see Spring 2025 graduates instructions.  Please click here to complete the Summer Registration Form after meeting with the Advising Support Center.

Please note that students cannot partipate in Domestic/International Transient Study and Emory College summer school in the same summer. Students can only take classes through one insitution over the summer.

Spring 2025 Graduates

All Oxford Spring 2025 degree candidates planning to take summer school classes at Emory will need to contact the Advising Support Center for your Summer 2025 registration access to be granted. Once granted, you will be able to register for classes in OPUS (beginning February 11th). If you have not applied for graduation, we will not be able to grant you access to register for Summer classes.

International Transient Study

International students with visas who would like to take Transient Study in their home country must complete the International Transient Study Application process with the Emory College Office of International and Summer Programs (OISP). OISP also has specific information about international summer programs available on their website. The application deadline for International Transient Study is 4/15/25. If you have additional questions, you may visit the International Transient Study page or contact the Office of International and Summer Programs at studyabroad@emory.edu.
