If you fail to return your key, you will be charged $150 for a re-core.
Express checkouts are the way that students will check out of their room and return their key.
Express Checkout
- Does not have to be scheduled in advance
- Express Check-out boxes are located in the lobby of each Hall
- You complete the information on Express Check-out envelope, sign it, place your keys inside the envelope, seal it, and place it in the Express Check-out box
Note: RES staff will conduct a room inspection that compares your RCR during your check-in with the room's current condition. Fees for damages will be assessed and communicated by the RES Professional Staff AFTER the halls have closed.
Check your Emory email account after two weeks from May 10 for communication on damage charges posting to your student account. Instructions on appeals will be included with this email. Failure to meet specified deadlines for appeals will forfeit your appeal option. Appeals will NOT be considered after the deadline communicated.
Storage
Residential Education & Services (RES) does not provide storage for students. Students are responsible for securing storage for their belongings. Because of the conference usage and/or facilities work that occurs during the summer, students are not allowed to store their items in their current or upcoming room during the summer. For students transitioning out of Oxford College at the end of the fall semester (not returning due to commencement, transferring, or study abroad), all student belongings must be removed from the fall assignment by the provided deadline and cannot be stored in the room.
MoveMyDorm.com provides storage, shipping, and moving services for several colleges and universities in the area. They pick up and store student’s belongings over the summer holiday or for any period of time. On move-in day, they deliver their belongings right to their door. Please contact them for more information regarding their services and rates.
Need shipping services? They will pick up, package, and ship belongings to any destination.
Schools currently serviced include Emory University (both Oxford and Atlanta/Clairmont campuses), Agnes Scott, Clark Atlanta, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State, Life University, Morehouse College, and Spelman College.
